Embedded delivery leadership at a fractional cost. Full senior ownership, scoped exactly to what your stage needs.
You’ve outgrown informal coordination. Releases slip. Incidents repeat. Your CTO is running delivery instead of scaling your architecture, and hiring a full-time Head of Delivery takes 6 months – a delay that stalls your time-to-market and burns your revenue.
I step in now. Two formats:
→ Fractional Delivery Manager Day-to-day ownership of the delivery system. Release cadence, incident stabilization, stakeholder management, and team unblocking.
→ PMO Architect Delivery architecture. Build the PMO function from scratch, or restructure the one that isn’t working. Governance, manager development, and operating standards.
Same expertise. Different intensity. I build delivery systems, not dependencies. The goal is predictable, scalable execution that your team can actually sustain – without bloated bureaucracy or new bottlenecks.
You probably need this if
- You have no DM and delivery coordination is falling on the wrong people (usually the CTO or Head of Engineering)
- You’re scaling fast and existing processes can’t keep up
- You just got an audit and need someone to actually implement the fixes
- Your releases are unpredictable and the same issues keep coming back despite regular post-mortems
- You need to build the foundation your future full-time DM will inherit
Two engagement formats
Every engagement starts with understanding your specific root cause. The format and scope are defined by what’s actually broken in your system – not by a standard package.
→ Fractional Delivery Manager
Duration: 3-6 months | Engagement: Remote. B2B contract.
Day-to-day ownership of the delivery system:
- Own the delivery cadence – design and establish ceremonies your team actually needs, nothing by default
- Incident stabilization – manage blockers and escalation paths
- Protect team focus from scope creep and manage stakeholders efficiently
- Coordinate releases and cross-team dependencies
- Design a scalable execution framework that drives predictable results without overhead
→ PMO Architect
Duration: 2-4 months | Engagement: Remote. B2B contract.
Delivery architecture for companies scaling their PM function:
- Build PM team structure and mentorship model
- Standardize estimation, discovery, and documentation frameworks
- Design a KPI system for delivery performance
- Create hiring criteria and onboarding structure
- Establish governance frameworks your team owns and operates day-to-day
What you get
- Full delivery ownership during the engagement
- Actionable processes, documentation, and runbooks your team can actually maintain
- A complete handover package and foundation for your future full-time hire
- Your CTO freed from operational noise to focus on high-impact initiatives that drive scale and revenue
- A self-sufficient team that resolves roadblocks locally, eliminating constant escalations
What I don’t do
I don’t come in, add 10 new processes, and leave you with a Confluence graveyard nobody reads.
I remove what’s in the way and build only what’s missing. I measure success by how well your team operates independently – without me being a bottleneck or the only person who knows how things work.
Don’t call me if:
- You just need a pair of hands for standups and Jira admin. A solid PM is a better fit for that.
- You want reports nobody reads. I build systems that produce outcomes, not process theater.
- You want to talk about the problem more than fix it. That’s therapy, not delivery management.
- You want validation, not an honest read. I will tell you what I actually see – including the things your team might be afraid to say out loud.
- Decisions take weeks and three committees to approve. To unblock delivery, I need a decision-maker on your side who can actually authorize action.
- You prioritize being right over getting results. Direct feedback is how we fix the system. If honest observations feel like an attack, we won’t get far.
Best for
Companies scaling faster than their management layer can absorb. You need delivery infrastructure – now, not after a 6-month hiring cycle.
Let’s Talk
Done firefighting? Ready to build something that scales? Just describe your pain and goal. I’ll tell you exactly how I can help.
